Ronnie Bell recently relocated to Victoria and is apprenticed to Ricky Maund. His double at Donald today, came on the back of win at Sandown yesterday.
In the sixth at Donald – a 3yo maiden – Ronnie was aboard Gwenda Johnstone’s Bianconi gelding, Thebarwonprince. He took a sit just off the favourite before pouncing in the straight to win impressively.
Ronnie’s second win was in the last on Gold Energy for Ricky Maund. This time he sat wide, slightly worse than midfield. Gold Energy leapt out of the ground in the straight and was a convincing winner. Ronnie had won aboard Gold Energy previously.
Ronnie looks to have a promising future.
