Gold Lining All the Way

Katelyn Mallyon took Gold Lining to the front in the last at Avoca in the 0-68 rating race over 1860 metres. The gelding was never headed and in the straight drew away for a comfortable victory. “I popped him over a few jumps yesterday just to keep his

mind on the job today. He is now ready to step up to 2,000 metres or possibly even further,” reported trainer Ricky Maund after the race. It was Gold Lining’s third win and pushed Ricky’s winning strike rate to just over 25% for the season.
