Sorisam began his race career in blistering form winning three of his first four race starts. Nearly three years later he has returned to that form winning three races in his last five starts.
Last Friday Ricky Maund presented Sorisam in a 1,000 metre showcase race at Geelong. Dean Yendall picked up the ride. Sorisam travelled beautifully throughout. Uncharacteristically the gelding jumped well and Dean positioned him third behind the early leaders. The $30,000 event had attracted a strong field but at the turn it was evident that the Sorisam was the most likely. With a quick turn of foot in the straight Sorisam went on to win comfortably.
