Al Jandar Back in the Winner’s Stall

Lauriston Thoroughbred Farm bred Al Jandar was back in the winner’s stall after winning the 7th at Sale over 1200 metres today. Ridden by Matthew Allen the gelding ran down race leader Brave Prince to win with big margins spacing the remainder of the field.

Al Jandar was purchased by trainer Robbie Griffiths for owner Rosemary Thomson at Inglis’ Premier yearling sale in 2009 for $27,000.

The win is the fifth for the five year old and took his career earnings to $138,000.
