Just For Show Goes One From One

Six year old gelding Just for Show stepped out for his first race start today in the second at Cranbourne. Brad Rawiller settled him in the middle of field. He looked to have some work ahead of him, but had a tonne of horse under him. Arriving late, Just For Show was strong on the line and won the 1000 metre race by 0.3 length. Brad was complementary after the win, saying that the gelding should be able to get over more ground.

Just For Show, by Show A heart, had always shown promise, however, his leg issues had prevented him from racing as a younger horse. Enter Shea Eden. Aware of the gelding’s soundness issues Shea focused on a beach preparation. It was only recently that Shea learned that the unraced horse had not even been issued a barrier certificate. And so last Monday he sent him to the Cranbourne trials. Just For Show put the writing on the wall then, winning comfortably over 990 metres in the only trial over that distance to break a minute. He was issued his ticket.
