Last Saturday Lauriston welcomed the arrival of their first foal of the 2011 season – A beautiful bay filly by Choisir out of Success Express mare Cica Cica. Cica Cica won five races from 1000 metres to 1500 metres and was placed at Moonee Valley on two occasions.
Although born a few days earlier than expected Button is a strong filly who is already
displaying an independent personality.
Cica Cica’s first foal (pictured below) was a striking black colt by Bianconi. He was sold at Adelaide’s Magic Millions sale for $60,000. He has been named Cavallo Nero and is trained by Nick Harnett. Although he has not yet raced, he has been nominated for the Caulfield Guineas this October.
