Michael and Nicola Edwards purchased King Charlemagne gelding, Categorically, late last year. Today in only his second start for trainer Nicola, he won by more than two lengths.
The 3yo, ridden by Jo Galea, settled toward the rear, and took the gelding wide in the straight. Categorically displayed an impressive turn of foot. It was a dominant win spreading the field in the 1,000 metres Orange maiden.
Categorically, out of Prego mare, There’s A Reason, became Lauriston’s 28th individually bred winner.
