Al Jandar Wins at Sale

Al Jandar competed in a 3yo Super VOBIS Showcase 1200 metre race at Sale today. Luke Currie settled the gelding in the middle of the field with cover. Al Jandar showed his appreciation for the firmer track by displaying a quick turn of foot. He pounced in the straight and ran away to win by a length.

Al Jandar, is by Al Samer from Lauriston’s Canny Lad mare Cica Cica Boom. He is trained by Robbie Griffiths and owned by Rosemary Thomson. The gelding was a $27,000 purchase from Lauriston at Melbourne’s Premier sale. Today’s win was his second and followed a string of consistent performances at city grade. The promising 3yo has now earned $65,000 in prize money.
