Zofabird, a four year old mare by Danbird from Lauriston broodmare Zofagal, won her second career race on Easter Sunday at Clare. Amazingly her previous win was on Easter day last
year at Penola. Purchased from Lauriston and trained by Emma Hubbard Zofabird contested the fifth race on the card over 1100 metres. Circling the field Damien Robinson improved the mare’s position from midway through the race. Frankie Sea had set up a break in the straight, but tired, and was quickly claimed by Zofabird who held out a fast finishing Kelport by a long neck.
