Rakitno and Gamora Join the Winners List

RakitnoRakitno (3f Not A Single Doubt x Emilydelago) became the 100th winner bred by Lauriston Thoroughbred Farm in impressive fashion at Newcastle yesterday. She is the first Lauriston bred horse to join Chris Waller’s team. Chris stepped Rakitno out to 1,350 metres in her third start for the preparation. James McDonald took the chestnut filly to the front from the outset and she was not troubled at any stage. Rakitno kicked further clear when asked in the straight to win comfortably by more than two lengths. The punters didn’t missed her. She paid $2.50. Race Replay: 26 May 16 R3 Newcastle

GamoraLater that day Lauriston cheered the 101st bred to salute. Connections of Cindy Alderson’s  Gamora (4m Magnus x Docalady) picked up some of the SUPER VOBIS bonus money for offered throughout May at Pakenham’s night meetings. Like Rakitno Gamora led from the get-go. With James Bates on top she controlled the race to win by nearly two lengths. Race Replay: 26 May 16 R4 Pakenham
