Double Rise and Kiss The King set a quick tempo in the Class 3 1625 metre Toowoomba race on Saturday. Among those at the rear of the field was Argenteum. Amy Taylor steered the gelding to the outside and upon straightening, quickly closed the gap on the leaders. Argenteum found the post 0.4 lengths in front of Check The Leader. It was a deserved win for trainer Neville Saunders. Argenteum had finished runner up in three of his previous four outings.
