Powerful Pegasus Dominates in Alice Debut

Lauriston bred, Powerful Pegasus, won on debut at Alice Springs last Saturday. The 2yo, ridden by Paul Denton, won with ease defeating his closest rival by 7½ lengths. He covered the 1000 metres in a time of 0-58.28.  Powerful Pegasus is trained by Lisa Lefoe, daughter of South Australian trainer Mick Whittle.

Powerful Pegasus became Lauriston’s 26th bred individual winner. He was sold by Lauriston at last year’s Inglis Autumn sale for $6,000 to the Alice Spring Jockey Club and is now owned by the Three P Syndicate. The win earned the gelding $5,880 and a further TROBIS bonus of $4,000.

Agar, a half brother to Powerful Pegasus, won at Ararat on Monday making it a triumphant week for Lauriston mare Here For Honour.
