He\u2019s renowned as a trainer who knows how to get his hands on VOBIS money, but Robbie Griffiths<\/a> turned his attention to the Magic Millions scheme on Monday.<\/p>\n

The Cranbourne trainer produced Undoubtable Miss<\/a> to win the $210,000 Magic Millions Adelaide 2YO Classic<\/a> on the Adelaide Cup Day card.<\/p>\n

The 1200-metre event is restricted to horses bought out of a Magic Millions sale ring and the daughter of Not A Single Doubt, who cost $90,000 at last year\u2019s Gold Coast sale, earned more than her purchase price with the strong win.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were contemplating going to the Sires\u2019 Produce on Saturday, but when this race looked more suitable and wasn\u2019t a jump in distance, we thought this was the best race for her,\u201d Griffiths said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a great series the Magic Millions series and the hardest part is getting a horse good enough to run in the series.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut this filly has always shown great talent, she was very good her first start at Ballarat and that form\u2019s been franked with Ducimus<\/a> running so well, and then she was good at Sandown so to come here and win was a great result.\u201d<\/p>\n

Undoubtable Miss, the $3 second favourite who was ridden by Noel Callow<\/a>, registered her first victory at start number three when she scored by one length from Danger Deal<\/a> ($12), with $2.50 favourite Spoils<\/a> a long neck back third. The winner\u2019s time was 1:10.4.<\/p>\n

The victory followed a narrow second placing at Sandown on February 15<\/a>, with her only other start a long neck second to subsequent Listed winner and Group 3 Pago Pago runner-up Ducimus<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Griffiths is excited to see what Undoubtable Miss is achieving as a juvenile as he always believed she would make a quality three-year-old filly.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow far we go in this prep is up to her recovery, but we think in the spring she\u2019ll be a filly that\u2019ll be an ideal Thousand Guineas filly.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of fillies in the family have got out to 1600, 2000 metres, so I think she\u2019ll get out to a trip later.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
