Trainer Gordon Richards<\/p><\/div>\n

Gordon Richards has been shocked at how easily Stimulatte has won his past two races and he hopes he will complete a hat-trick at Morphettville Parks this afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stimulatte has been dominant in his past two starts, winning by a combined margin of 8.7 lengths and is on the quick back-up.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Morphettville trainer insists there is no magic trick, just a combination of factors coming together at the right time.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a bit of everything \u2013 getting up to the right distance, having him fit enough and Josh (Cartwright) riding him accordingly,\u201d Richards said. \u201cHe\u2019s taken a while to strike his form so we\u2019ll try to pick them up when we can.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Richards says the four-year-old doesn\u2019t want much further than 2000m and is looking towards a race like next month\u2019s Strathalbyn Cup as his main goal.<\/span><\/p>\n

But he\u2019s continuing to work through the grades and this is his toughest test to date.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cartwright, who has been on board for both of Stimulatte\u2019s wins, takes the ride again and will be positive from barrier 10.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBoth races probably weren\u2019t that strong, but he didn\u2019t just win, he won them easily,\u201d Richards said. \u201cThis is a lot stronger but he could possibly do the same thing.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s done well since his last run, he\u2019s drawn poorly, but he\u2019ll go forward and it shouldn\u2019t worry him too much.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Bookmakers agree, with TattsBet installing Stimulatte as a $1.80 favourite, with Frost Dodger ($3.40) and Langridge Street ($7) the only other runners under double figures.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a big day for Richards, who will saddle up five runners.<\/span><\/p>\n

Outside of Stimulatte, he gives promising three-year-old Black Caesar the best chance.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a horse that\u2019s learning all the time,\u201d he said. \u201cHis third behind Lord Aspen was pretty good and I think he\u2019s a horse with a bit of a future. I expect him to go really well.\u201d<\/span>
