Lauriston Thoroughbred Farm are proud to be presenting a draft of thirteen quality yearlings at the 2015 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale from 1st March.
The Lauriston draft will be available for inspection from Tuesday 24th February at Inglis’ Oaklands sales complex. The yearlings will be stabled in Barn G.

Lot 2 Bay Colt High Chaparral x Acceleration
This athletic colt by High Chaparral (sire of So You Think, It’s A Dundeel, Shoot Out etc. is from the sprinting mare Acceleration. Acceleration was a regular city performer who achieved success to 1350 metres. She was runner up at listed level and won more than $180,000. Followers of the Rasmussen Factor will note that this colt is inbred, (3x4x5), to the good dam Fairy Bridge. Acceleration is by champion sire Encosta de
Lago, a son of Fairy King. Her mating to High Chaparral is designed to
introduce Sadler’s Wells – a full brother to Fairy King to this yearling’s
pedigree.
Lot 81 Bay Colt 
Manhattan Rain x Chordata
This quality colt by the Group 1 performer Manhattan Rain, sire of Moonovermanhattan, is from the city winning mare Chordata. Chordata is a daughter of multiple Group 1 winner Dashing Eagle and a full sister to the sprinter Gaburin who has earned more than $2 Million prize money in Japan.
Lot 138 Ch Filly Helmet x Emilydelago
This good boned filly is by the exciting first season sire and triple Group 1 winner Helmet. Her dam, Emilydelago, a city 2y.o winner, has produced two foals to race – both are winners including Zellindi a 2yo city winner and was beaten a nose at listed level.
Lot 140 Bay Colt Bel Esprit x Encapsulate
This outstanding colt is by champion Victorian sire Bel Esprit – a prolific getter of winners, including Black Caviar. His dam, Encapsulate by Encosta de Lago produced multiple city winner Swipeline. Encapsulate is the daughter of listed place getter Anemone Garden.
Lot 464 Bay Filly Exceed and Excel x Rapidement
This speedy looking filly is by champion 2yo sire Exceed And Excel (sire of Overreach, Guelph, Earthquake, etc.) and the first foal from Flemington and Moonee Valley winning sprinter Rapidement. Rapidement’s siblings include the sprinters Sir Monashee (winner of 7 races and $478,000) and Monashee Dancer (winner of 10 races and $277,000)
Lot 496 Brown Filly Starcraft x Saratoga
This striking filly by Group 1 winner Starcraft, (sire of Star Witness), is the second living foal from the city winning mare Saratoga. At two Saratoga finished runner up in the listed QTC McDougall stakes and fourth in the Group 2 QTC Sires’ Produce Stakes. She retired to stud with earnings in excess of $160,000.
Lot 515 Bay Filly Commands x Show Stealer
This filly displays all the hallmarks of an early runner. She is by the champion sire Commands from the well related early running family of Show Stealer. Show Stealer is a half sister to Group 2 winner Great Crusader, Listed place getters Bold Reason and Gay Adventure and the half sister to Stolen Beauty who has produced 2yo Magic Millions Classic winner Real Surreal and Group 3 winner Benny’s Buttons.
Show Stealer won her last three race starts – two at city level before

This powerful filly is by Not A Single Doubt, the sire of Miracles Of Life and many other well credentialed race performers. Her dam Skidoodle is a winning daughter of Encosta de Lago. Skidoodle has produced the promising 3yo Tudor and the older sibling Velonski, a winner of 6 races. Tudor has won at city level and has finished runner up at listed level. His earnings currently exceed $200,000. Velonski has also won at city

This neat filly is by popular US sire Congrats from Stravinsky mare Docalady. Docalady is the daughter of black type winner That’s It Doc and was herself placed at listed level on three occasions. The family has consistently produced early sprinters. Docalady is the dam of Dasilva, the winner of 4 races.

This well balanced colt by dual group 1 winner Toorak Toff is from Entango – a half sister to stakes winner Tycoon Tango. Tycoon Tango is the dam of stakes placed Tycoon’s Heart who like Toorak Toff is by Show A Heart. Entango has produced city performer Tango Express.

This strong, well conformed filly by Domesday is from Spy Catcher. Spy Catcher, a half sister to listed performer Rendzina, is from the family of Surround stakes winner Khaptivaan- dam of Oakleigh Plate winner Khaptingly and the good performer Khaptrist.
